I Come Bearing Gifts

With a breath of fresh air, I come bearing you great gifts, including myself. I am here to stay with you for quite some time so I really do hope we don't grow bored of each other.

I have travelled a long distance to reach you and I am glad I did. It would be a great shame if I had to take all these gifts back with me.

What a waste that would be?!

Truth be told, we both have a lot to profit from me handing over these gifts to you. I am only a messenger- a faithful servant.

 So it is only right that I hand them over to you.

I am neither here to cause you pain, nor am I here to frustrate you. I really want the best for you at all times. Please believe me and always remember this. But these gifts that I bring cannot be handed over so simply. They are extremely precious, of great value and time sensitive. So much so that if I hand over any one of them to you untimely, I could cause you great distress. I must be cautious as I cannot afford to be careless with you.

If I upset you or cause you discomfort in anyway, it is not intentional. Well if I'm honest, in some cases it will be. But I will always have a good reason. My reason is none other than to help you build your character and increase your knowledge so you are prepared for the gift I must hand over to you next. It is vital that you are well equipped to accept the gift and put it to good use. So if I have to, I will briefly put you under pressure to equip you accordingly. It's all for a good cause.

At times, I will nudge you, sometimes, even push you. This is because I need you to exercise your courage and utilise your strength. If you are to make the most of your gifts, you will need to be strong and courageous. Initially, you might feel to hate me and possibly even think the feeling is mutual but with time, you will come to a full understanding of why I do what I do.

But I need something from you. And some other things too. I need your positivity because I thrive in it. Our journey is long but honestly if you could just give me this as much as possible, we will move mountains. We will be legendary.

Depending on how I present them to you, some of my gifts may cause you to question my intentions toward you. But this is where I need your wisdom. There are times when for your own good, a gift must come in disguise. This leads me to the third thing I need from you-trust. I need you to trust that I am for you and not against you, so my loyalty unshakingly lies with you.

You should know something about these gifts that I bring you. They are all blessings. And amongst these blessings, there are great powers that will be at your disposal. These powers will always answer to you when necessary. They are yours but please do not misuse or abuse them.

Although it may be hard to see at times, I really am beautiful and likewise, everything about me is beautiful. Balance is where my beauty is rooted. My equilibrium illuminates a tranquillity that can only be appreciated when I am intricately observed. There are hidden truths within me that I reveal to beholders in whose eyes, my beauty resides. These truths when discovered, become everlasting treasures for them.

I am filled with warmth when wise men like yourself pay me some mind. You have no idea how ecstatic I become. Your will to understand me brings immense joy to my heart because there is so much I would love for you to know. You getting to know me better makes my job easier and more fulfilling for we become bound together in perfect harmony.

I say all that to say this. I am here with you till the end. I am here for you till the end. What you don't see, I see. What you don't comprehend, I do. What you don't know, I know. Just work with me as I have chosen to work with you. Thus far, I have opened up to you considerably but it's nothing compared to what I still have to show you. So don't go leaving me behind thinking you have me all figured out. You might just break my heart.

Oh my darling! Pardon my manners. I should have introduced myself long before now. I am usually known as a Mystery but formally, my name is LIFE. It's a wonderful pleasure to be yours.

As the saying goes, "Count your blessings, name them one by one.". So I tell you, count them because I have handed over so many to you thus far. Count them because then you'll see that I wish you well. Count them because there are many to come. Count them because only then can you really be grateful to the Almighty, whose faithful servant, I am.

I look forward to our glorious future. For now, let's enjoy our blessed present.
